Oh, sweet, shitty squirrel, how I love you so. Meet Chitty, the second piece in the Meet My Muses collection. This portrait is of our resident red squirrel, named Chitty because he chitters all day and he’s a bit shitty. He loves to trim our trees, scream at intruders and chase magpies who attempt to infringe on his territory. This wild fella lives in our woodshed and we’re not really sure why we love him so much, but we do. Even though he steals insulation from under the hood of our car and digs up all the flowers in my planters. Maybe I’m nuts, but I love his stupid face and painted it so I’ll never forget him.
